Summary:
The Financial Controller oversees financial reporting, guides portfolio companies, manages audits, interacts with bankers, optimizes treasury functions, and delivers strategic reports. Ideal candidates have experience in technology or investing/portfolio management.
Location: Lagos State
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting: The candidate must ensure timely, accurate financial statements compliant with IFRS standards.
Portfolio Company Guidance: The candidate must provide financial reporting oversight to portfolio companies.
Audit Process Management: The candidate must coordinate the annual audit process with external auditors.
Banker Interaction and Negotiation: The candidate must serve as the primary contact for banking relationships.
Treasury Optimization: The candidate must develop strategies to optimize treasury functions.
Strategic Reporting: The candidate must prepare and deliver strategic reports to stakeholders.
To qualify for this role, you must have:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Professional qualifications (ACCA, ICAN) preferred.
Minimum 7 years finance experience, preferably in technology or investing.
Strong understanding of IFRS standards and financial reporting.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software.
Knowledge of treasury management best practices.
Ability to work independently and adapt in a dynamic environment.
